Many applications are available to employees and students remotely through virtual desktops. In a few cases, the Rowan VPN can be used if needed. A VPN is a virtual private network. A VPN client is the software installed on your computer, phone, or tablet and used to access the VPN. Rowan uses the Palo Alto GlobalProtect Client.

 

Some examples of services that require access to the University's Virtual Private Network, or VPN, when off campus, include:

 

All Rowan University faculty, staff, and students are now automatically provided VPN access. You don't need to request access anymore; you're ready to connect if you have Rowan NetID.
