Connecting Android device to RowanSecure
Context
Employees connecting personal Android devices to RowanSecure
Solution
- Open your Wi-Fi settings and select RowanSecure
- Log in with your Network username and password. Visit id.rowan.edu if you don't know your Network username or need to reset your password.
- A sign-in page will open up. Click MORE.
- Under the MORE menu, click Keep connection.
- Enter your Network username and password and click Log In.
- Click Install QuickConnect, which will open the Google Play Store.
- Click INSTALL to install the ClearPass QuickConnect App.
- Click ACCEPT when prompted.
- Once the ClearPass QuickConnect App is installed, click the back button on your device.
- Click Next under "After you have downloaded and installed the application, please click Next."
- Click Install Network Profile.
- If you are prompted to choose an application to open the file with, choose ClearPass QuickConnect.
- Your phone will now provision itself and connect to RowanSecure. Note: If you do not have a PIN set to secure your device, you will be prompted to create one.
- Once this process is complete, you should be able to connect to RowanSecure.
Notes
- Students do not need to register Android devices with ClearPass to connect to RowanSecure; they can simply select RowanSecure and enter their Network username and password. However, students who have been paid by the University as an employee, including part-time and summer workers, and students with an "employee role" will need to register their Android devices with ClearPass.
