Before you begin:

Java must be installed in order for the web based installation of the AnyConnect client to work.

If you are using Chrome or do not have Java installed, you will be able to manually install the client as described below.

Installation:

To install the Cisco AnyConnect client and connect to the Rowan VPN, go to https://vpn2.rowan.edu and login using your Rowan network username and password.

On the next screen, click Continue to accept the login terms for the VPN.

Next, either wait 10 seconds or click Start AnyConnect to begin installation of the AnyConnect program. If you receive a certificate warning, accept the certificate and continue with the installation.

If you have Java installed and your browser is capable of performing the web based installation, wait until the installation is complete and then reboot your computer.

You can then launch the newly installed Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client and follow these instructions for logging into the Rowan VPN

If the web based installation is unsuccessful you will be asked to manually install the AnyConnect client. Click the link under "Install using the link below:" to download the client and complete the installation manually.

In Windows, double-click the downloaded file and click "Run" to begin the installation. Follow the prompts and then reboot your computer once the installation is complete.

On a Mac: Open the donloaded file and run the vpn.pkg file to install. Reboot your computer once the installation is complete.

You can then launch the newly installed Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client and follow these instructions for logging into the Rowan VPN
