Home Directory to OneDrive Transition Notice

New employees and students and anyone who has never used their home directory have been transitioned to OneDrive for personal storage as of April 1, 2026.

Starting in October 2026, current employees who actively use their home directory will be migrated to OneDrive as their Rowan-managed computers become eligible for replacement through the Essential Device Program.

To access network storage while on campus, you must be connected to RowanSecure wireless or wired network. Follow the instructions for your operating system.

To access your home directory or openarea off campus, you may use the Employee Desktop or Academic Desktop in Citrix or connect via the Rowan VPN, from a Rowan-managed computer.

Windows (Managed Device)

Users can access the openarea or home directory on a Rowan-managed computer by double-clicking the "My Computer" icon on your desktop or from the Start Menu and double-clicking the O: Drive for openarea and H: Drive for home directory.

Mac (Managed Device)

Notes

The use of cloud storage solutions may provide easier access when accessing file off campus.

If you need to be given access to a folder in the OpenArea or would like a new folder created, you should contact Technology Support Center at 856-256-4400 or you can use the Get Help Form in the Rowan Support Portal. Include the full path of the OpeanArea folder and if access is view only or read/write.
