After installing the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client, locate the program and double-click the icon to launch it.
Click "Connect" and you will be prompted to log in.
The VPN login prompt now contains a new Second Password / Duo Authentication field which is used to support additional security (Two-Factor Authentication).
Most users are currently not enrolled in Duo Two-Factor Authentication and will simply need to enter their Rowan network username and password, type the word bypass into the Second Password / Duo Authentication field and click OK in order to login to the VPN service.
NOTE: The second password field used for Duo Authentication cannot be left blank
If you are enrolled in Duo, you will need to enter one of the following options:
- Passcode: If you have a hardware token or a valid passcode that was received via text, enter your network username and password and type the passcode into the Second Password / Duo Authentication field and click OK.
- Push: If you have the Duo Mobile App installed on your mobile device, enter your username and password, type push in the Second Password / Duo Authentication field and click OK. Open the push notification on your enrolled device, and tap Approve to log in.
- SMS: Enter your network username and password and type sms into the Second Password / Duo Authentication field to receive a text message containing a passcode. Enter the passcode into the Second Password / Duo Authentication field, re-enter your network password and click OK.
- Phone: Enter your network username and password and type phone in the Second Password / Duo Authentication field to receive a phone call on your Duo registered phone. Answer the call and press 1 to log in.
