Before you begin:

Installation:

To install the Cisco AnyConnect client and connect to the Rowan VPN, go to https://vpn.rowan.edu and log in using your Rowan network username and password.

If you are enrolled in Duo two-factor authentication, you will be prompted to authenticate. Click here for detailed instructions.

On the next screen, click Continue to accept the login terms for the VPN.

Next, either wait 10 seconds or click Start AnyConnect to begin installation of the AnyConnect program. If you receive a certificate warning, accept the certificate and continue with the installation.

If you have Java installed and your browser is capable of performing the web based installation, wait until the installation is complete and then reboot your computer.

You can then launch the newly installed Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client and follow these instructions for logging into the Rowan VPN

If the web based installation is unsuccessful you will be asked to manually install the AnyConnect client. Click the link under "Install using the link below:" to download the client and complete the installation manually.

In Windows: Double-click the downloaded file and click "Run" to begin the installation. Follow the prompts and then reboot your computer once the installation is complete.

On a Mac: Open the downloaded file and run the vpn.pkg file to install. Reboot your computer once the installation is complete.
