Rowan University employees can install local network printers and distributed copiers/printers on their Rowan-managed computers on their own, even if they don't have administrative rights. To release your print job from the distributed copier/printer queue, swipe your RowanCard at a swipe-enabled printer/copiers on any campus within 48 hours of printing.
To install a printer, follow the instructions for your operating system.
- Go to Start menu > Company Portal or search for Company Portal and open the app
- Select Rowan Print Driver Installer
- Select Install
- Go to Start menu > Rowan Print Driver Installer
- To install a local network printer, locate your building in the "Group" column. Then locate the printer you want to add in the "Available Printers" column. Select the printer you want to install and click Download. To install a Distributed Copier/Printer (That has a ID Card Swipe/Touch reader), select All Swipe Distributed Copiers/Printers as the "Group" and Faculty Staff Both Queues as the "Available Printers."
- Once the package is downloaded, the printer installer will appear. Click Install.
- Once the installation is completed, click Finish. You can then install another printer or click the Close button to close the Rowan Printer Driver Installer.
- Open Self Service
- Log in with your Rowan NetID
- Select Printers in the left-hand menu
- To install a local network printer, select Printers. Scroll through to find your building and area (the list is Alphabetical) and select Install. To install a distributed copier/printer, select Install Employee Color Copier/Printer or Install Employee Black & White Copier/Printer, depending on the printer you are installing. Then select Install.
