Google Drive: Not Receiving File Share Notifications
If you are not receiving notifications when another user shares a Google document or folder with you, please check your settings in in Google Drive.
Login and open Google Drive. In the top right of the window click the wheel and then select "Notifications."
Make sure that "Get all updates about Google Drive items via email" is selected.
