Guest and Visitor Access
Information Resources & Technology offers wireless network access for guests visiting Rowan University. Prospective students and their families, vendors, alumni, event attendees and others can get basic internet access while on campus through the RowanWiFi network.
How to Connect
To access the wireless network as a visitor, select RowanWiFi from the list of available wireless networks on your laptop or mobile device.
- Under the "Guests and Visitors" section in the window that pops up, click Please sign in here. If a window doesn’t automatically pop up, open a browser and navigate to rowan.edu and follow the same steps.
- Check the "I accept the terms of use" box and click Connect.
You should now be connected to the RowanWiFi wireless network. If you need help connecting to the network while on campus, please contact the Technology Support Center at 856-256-4400 or support@rowan.edu.
Notes
- Your connection will be active for 12 hours. After your access expires, you will need to reconnect.
- Visitors will have full access to the internet but will not be able to access University-specific resources.
- Traffic on the RowanWiFi network is not encrypted. Any information you send over the internet is unsecured if you are not on an https page.
- RowanWiFi for guests is limited to HTTP and HTTPS websites (tcp/80 and tcp/443). You will not be able to VPN, FTP or SSH to sites off campus.
- By using the RowanWiFi network, you are agreeing to comply with the University's Acceptable Use Policy.
