Feature Overview

How do I get CrashPlan Code42 cloud backup?

Please submit a ticket in the IRT Support Portal.

How much space do I have?

CrashPlan Code42 cloud backup provides unlimited backup space for users. CrashPlan Code42 also maintains many versions of your data to ensure no valuable content is ever lost.

What data is backed up?

Each user has full control over what data is backed up by CrashPlan Code42. By default all data in your local user profile is backed up. This typically includes all your settings and any saved data.

Please note if you have saved data outside your user profile - this data will not be backed up unless you specifically configure CrashPlan Code42 to back it up.

How often is data backed up?

CrashPlan Code42 is configured to backup any changes to your data every 15 minutes. The application is configured to only use a small percentage of your processing power in order to prevent slowdowns. Due to this, initial data sync may take several days to complete. It is recommended you keep your computer turned on, plugged in, and connected to the internet as much as possible while the initial sync is being completed.

Version retention is as follows:
