Install the Microsoft Outlook Mobile App

The Microsoft Outlook Mobile app is the only supported way of accessing your Exchange email on a mobile device.

For more information about using the Outlook app, please see the following article Outlook Mobile App: Frequently Asked Questions.

NOTE: There is a known issue from Microsoft regarding the iPhone calendar not syncing properly in some instances with Exchange and you must use the Outlook app to avoid this problem.

1. Install the Microsoft Outlook app from the App Store on an iPhone or iPad or the Google Play Store on an Android device.

NOTE: Please ensure you have the latest version of the application. Some phones come with this preinstalled and the app isn't up to date. You can check this by going to the Google Play Store, searching for the Outlook app and hitting "update" in the top right.

2. Open the Outlook app once it is installed.

3. Choose Add an Account.

4. Select Exchange

5. Enter your Rowan email address, password, a description of your choosing, and then click LOG IN.

6. After a minute, you should be prompted about whether or not to allow notifications. (If you receive an error or the app does not automatically connect you, try the settings located at the box at the bottom of this page.)

7. Once you have made your choice, you'll swipe through four informational screens. On the last screen, choose GO TO INBOX or click the X in the top right corner of the screen.

8. If the app does not automatically connect you to your Rowan Mailbox, please click the Show advanced settings on the "LOG IN" screen.

9. On the advanced settings screen, enter the following information:

10. Click "LOG IN"
